Everyone wants to see Assad disappear. The big problem
is the mayhem of Alawites, Druz, Christians, Kurds, etc
by sunni Islamists . It is not going to be peace after
Assad. We should learn from the experience in Libya,
where removal of Gaddafi was supposed to bring peace
and harmony and increased oil production. We now know
better. The worst can be assumed in Syria after Assad.
There is no one who can control all the forces creating
mayhem in Syria. Obama is right not to get involved.
