The billionaires profit from the divisiveness. The billionaires have profited
from the divisiveness against gays, women, blacks and the poor. The more
we are divided against each other and the more our attention is drawn
to whether the gay couple next door can marry or the young woman next
door can get an abortion the less attention we can pay to the financial
processes by which the billionaires can buy the Congress. I hope we don't
forget that it was George H - who used the Willie Horton ad to get elected.
And I hope we don't forget that it was on his watch that Congress had to
bail out the banks in what was, until the recent economic meltdown, the
biggest bank scandal in our history. And I believe it was Jeb Bush who
was then very involved in the Silverado (?) bank . The billionaires first
divided us against each other and then raided the treasury. And there
went our hard earned money which we would have used for education,
medical treatment, infrastructure, scientific advancement, etc. Our
taxes went up and theirs went down.
