Regarding today's lead story about the two single shots from the two different alleged wackos:

The gun prohibitionists may work for years to ban all semi-automatic rifles.
Their "sensible" gun control measures may pass.
People will still commit gun crimes.

Unacceptable.

First, the Justice Department should insist that the
cable companies can never take a content provider (the latest being
CBS versus Time Warner) off the air. Any disputes between Cable
and Content Providers over subscription fees should be settled by binding arbitration.

Second, since the cable companies operate near monopolies
in many local markets, particularly NYC, their pricing should be
subject to more vigorous regulation.

Finally, I would encourage all New Yorkers to reduce their consumption
of Cable provider services. It s the best way to use market power against
a monopoly.
