Philip Seymour Gone

23 years clean
At the Top of my game
Standing Next to a flame
Touch it! BURNED!
Burned once, Burned twice
Three times is the charm
Needle in my arm
Perfect hit, Didn't miss, blissss
User, abuser, substance chooser
Why oh why
Do we kid ourselves! With the lie
...This time is different
Drunk on a plane, Stumbling on a train
Washed down the drain, A life well lived
I am the Master
I am the way
I am the truth
I am the life
I am your addiction
Slave to me
Or slave to none
I am your conviction
For a crime
Not committed
RIP, you were a genius

It couldn't be climate change, nope,
Repubs say that is all false dope,
So we'll keep on polluting
With Repubs refuting
Until there's no glimmer of hope!

Larry,

Paddy would be mad indeed!
He believed in words, you see.
Words meant a lot to him.
And what's been done to some is grim

"Choice" now means "only one"
Which is the same as "none"
"Separation" of Church and State
Means No Church but lots of State.

"You can keep your Doctor" of course!
But "Keep" is "Pay more" in force
Yes, he'd "be mad as hell"
And others are as well!

The jobless irk the upper class,
They're "takers" and do it en masse,
Since the upper class minions
Follow all their opinions,
Repubs find jobless lazy,crass.

Tune of Love Story theme

Where do we begin
To tell the tale of how destructive books can be
An epic fail of how they messed up you and me
And yet we wouldn’t be without them ‘cause you see
They fill our hearts

Where do we begin
To tell the story of how much a book can mean
An allegory where some author vents his spleen
And makes your mind up early when you are a teen
It fills your life

Books fill your life with wacko dreams and hopes
And looking back, we know that we were dopes
To let those books
Take us like schnooks

And shape our little heads, and do it shamelessly
‘Cause what you read can fester aimlessly
And it’s just luck - the books you chose
When you were young
Are always there

How long can it last
When your December makes you want another June
Should books be measured by the psyches that they ruin
Or better treasured since they still give hope that soon
Love will be there

"The Rich get Richer and the Poor",,,, are Ignored.
We'll watch another "Survivor" so we don't get Bored.
While the Lesser Struggle just to simply Exist,
Those "Out of Sight" are Never Missed.
The Elite Above it all Wonder..."What's the Fuss"?
While those with Power have something to "Discuss".
"The Richer get Richer and the Poor"....are Still There.
As long as they're Invisible....We don't Have to Care.

Dang!

You've been gone too long,
We miss you still.
And all it took
Was a porcupine quill!

Theism is rational? Poo,
God exists, then God's God exists, too,
This troublesome item
Goes on ad finitum,
An infinite number, if true.

It's interesting that while the news media are repeating
a figure in the millions for the number of documents
Snowden "accessed," what they have actually cited so far, let alone
published, amounts to a couple of dozen. Most of these are
Power Point presentations, which by design are for disseminating
specialized information to a wider audience. As such, they would
be the least-secret secrets to have been spilled. Where are the
"crown jewels," really? Perhaps both the government
and the news media are overrating the seriousness of l'affaire
Snowden, but for different purposes.

It seems clear now that publishing the Kristof column on the op-ed
page was a mistake on the part of the Times. At this point, it seems
almost impossible to determine what actually happened. Regardless
of the injured party, a complex personal issue should not be addressed
in the forum of the New York Times op-ed pages.

Just had to stop in to share one of my favorite Ogden Nash poems:
Any hound
that a porcupine nudges
Can't be blamed
for harboring grudges.
(typical Scorpio)
